Young people
Rainbows provides specialist palliative care shaped around each young person’s individual needs, choices and goals. Our teams work alongside young people, their families and other healthcare professionals to manage symptoms, provide specialist care and help them live as fully and independently as possible.
Care, activities and time to be themselves
Young people can access care and support at our hospice, at home, in hospital and in the community. At Rainbows, they can also enjoy activities and therapies, spend time with other young people and have space away from the routines of everyday care.
Planning for what comes next
As young people approach adulthood, we work with them, their families and other services to help plan for the future. This includes supporting the move on from children’s services, and making sure young people and their families understand the options available to them.
Support for the whole family
While growing independence is important, families remain a vital part of a young person’s life. Rainbows continues to support parents, brothers, sisters and the wider family alongside the care we provide.
Here when you need us
If you’d like to know more about how Rainbows can support your family, please get in touch. Referrals come through a healthcare professional, so a good first step is to speak to someone already involved in your child’s care.
