What we offer

Symptom Management

Our specialist team helps manage pain and difficult symptoms, improving comfort and quality of life for babies, children and young people, so they can focus on simply being a child.

Short breaks

A short break at Rainbows gives children expert, nurse-led care and the chance to enjoy our facilities and activities, while their family spends precious time together, free from the worries of caring.

Family hub

Our family support workers and nurses get to know each family, helping them find the practical and emotional support that makes a real difference. Families can also stay connected through our events, newsletter and online community.

Sibling Support

When a child is seriously ill, their brothers and sisters need support too. Our sibling support gives them a place to have fun, meet others who understand, and talk about how they’re feeling, through one-to-one and group support.

Family Accommodation

Our on-site family accommodation means loved ones can stay close, spending time together as a family and making memories away from home.

Spiritual and cultural support

Every family is different, and we always take into account what matters most to each one. We support families to talk about their hopes, fears and beliefs, and to make the decisions that feel right for them.

Community hubs

Our community hubs bring support closer to home, with friendly, welcoming spaces across the East Midlands where families can connect, share and find the help they need.

Our commitment to Rainbows families

Safeguarding sits at the heart of everything we do. We work hard to protect and champion the rights of every child, young person, family member, visitor, volunteer and member of staff who comes to Rainbows.

We provide a safe, supportive environment shown through our outstanding CQC rating. And we’re an open organisation, committed to transparency, learning from experience and always striving to do better for the families in our care.
