Spiritual and cultural support
Every family has their own beliefs, traditions and ways of making sense of difficult times. At Rainbows, we want every family to feel understood, respected and free to be themselves, and our support is shaped around what matters most to you.
Support that respects every individual
Our spiritual support worker and cultural link worker help families from a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds. That might mean helping you express your needs and wishes, making sure your cultural and religious beliefs are understood, or helping you feel heard when making decisions about your child’s care.
They work alongside our care and family support teams, and can support families at the hospice, during hospital stays and in the community. They can also help overcome language barriers, explain information clearly and connect families with community groups and support networks.
Spiritual support
You don’t need to follow a particular religion to receive spiritual support at Rainbows. We’re here to listen, and to support whatever gives you meaning, comfort or strength.
We respect the beliefs and traditions of every family, and we can help make sure these are recognised throughout your child’s care, including at the end of life and during bereavement.
Here when you need us
