A fun afternoon of pumpkin carving, fancy dress, bran tub, colouring activities and games – plus lots more. The event is open to everyone. Suggested charity donation of £1 per pumpkin entry on the day. Pumpkins must be supplied by entrants and carved and decorated before the event. Pumpkins must be with the team by 3.15pm for judging at 3.30pm. Supporting Rainbows and other local charities.

A fun afternoon around Bitteswell Pumpkin Trail. Join the local community on The Green, Bitteswell from 12noon where you’ll be able to make a donation to Rainbows, get your digital map and head off on the pumpkin trail. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite display. Hot food and col food will be available in the village hall. Prizes for all those in fancy dress.

The Festival Players are back with their next performance, The Diary of Anne Frank. They will kindly be supporting Rainbows from collections at the end of their shows.

Based on teenager Anne Frank’s famous diary the play gives a stirring insight into the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule in WW2 occupied Europe,. In this stage adaptation Anne emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young woman, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her times with astonishing honesty, wit and determination.

Following their successful productions of The 39 Steps, Blood Brothers, Calendar Girls, The Haunting & Cluedo The Festival Players are back at MMC with this impassioned drama about the lives of eight people in hiding, the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence and their fear, their hope, their laughter and their grief……

Halloween sessions will run at Rumble Live Action Gaming’s Rutland Water. The final afternoon session at Rutland Water on Saturday 31 October at 3pm will raise money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, with all proceeds donated to the charity.

The fundraiser will bring Rumble’s 2026 Rutland Water season to a suitably spooky close before its woodland venue shuts for the winter to make way for the area’s migratory birds.

It forms part of a week of special Halloween action at Rumble, with themed laser tag sessions taking place at Rutland Water and Grafham Water from 27th to 31st October. Players aged six and over can take on Halloween-inspired missions including Zombie Apocalypse, where teams must work together to defeat an ever-growing army of the undead, and Red Light, Green Light, inspired by the hit Netflix series Squid Game. There will also be team battles, sniper challenges, sweet treats and prizes for the best Halloween costumes, with fancy dress encouraged, but not compulsory.

The tribute event will bring the music and energy of one of country music’s most iconic stars to St Nicholas Church, South Kilworth, featuring all the biggest Dolly Parton hits in what promises to be an unforgettable evening of live entertainment.
