Corporate donations and fundraising
There are so many ways your company can support Rainbows. Your time, your skills or your unwanted goods can be just as valuable as a cash donation, helping us care for local children and families across the East Midlands.
Corporate fundraising
From bake sales to scavenger hunts, every effort helps and every penny counts. Fundraising is a brilliant way to bring colleagues together, motivate them and boost morale. No one knows what makes your team tick better than you, so don’t be afraid to get creative.
Why not gather a group of Charity Champions to lead the way, and come up with ideas your people will love? Our team is always here with support, materials and plenty of encouragement.
Recycling for Rainbows
Having a Rainbows stock donation bin for your office means your team can easily donate bags of unwanted items for us to sell in our charity shops. Each bag raises around £20 on average, and we will keep track of how many bags your staff donate over the year so you can see the impact it’s making. It’s a simple way to help your staff clear the clutter and help local families at the same time.
The Big Currency Collection
Got leftover foreign currency gathering dust? This one couldn’t be easier. Set up a collection box in your office, send the currency over to us and we’ll exchange it into sterling to support our care.
Client Balances
Are you a solicitors or accountancy firm, or do you work with one? Under SRA and ICAEW regulations, firms can donate money lying dormant in client accounts to charity after a set period.
These funds can’t be used for anything else and often cause headaches at year end, so this is a simple, worthwhile way to support Rainbows. We’re happy to provide a letter of indemnity for any amount donated.
Gifts in Kind
Money isn’t the only thing your company can give. There are always products and services we need, from equipment and supplies to pro bono expertise. If you think you could help with a gift in kind, we’d love to talk it through.
Matched giving
Employer matched giving is a brilliant way to make your staff’s fundraising go further. If you have staff members fundraising for Rainbows, pledging to match their fundraising overall or to a certain amount not only helps them reach their target but doubles their impact.
Payroll giving
Payroll giving, sometimes called Give As You Earn, is a simple way for staff to donate straight from their pay. Donations are taken before tax, so it costs your employees less to give, and you can boost it further by matching what they raise.
If your company isn’t already set up, you may need to register with a payroll giving agency who’ll organise the payments. Your finance team can also set up an internal system, forwarding staff donations to us directly. And with a Gift Aid form, we can claim an extra 25% for every pound donated.
