Specialist care and support for children with life-shortening conditions
When a family learns their child has a life-shortening or life-threatening condition, everything feels uncertain. Rainbows is here to help. We provide specialist children’s palliative care across the East Midlands, at our hospice in Loughborough, at home and in hospital, supporting the whole family through whatever lies ahead.
How we care for families
From the day a family starts receiving our care, we’re right beside them. That care reaches families wherever they are, at home, in hospital or at the hospice. It might mean expert symptom management to ease pain, short breaks that bring comfort and time together, therapies that support play and quality of life, or end-of-life care and support that continues beyond a child’s death.
Every year we care for babies, children and young people, and their families, right across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.
Everything we do is free for families, and funded almost entirely by the generosity of our supporters.

We support children, young people and their families at end of life. End of life care helps babies, children and young people to live as well as possible until they die.
Our team works alongside families to identifying their needs and how best to provide information and practical support that will really make a difference.
