Reece is first in line to meet Father Christmas at one-day grotto in aid of Rainbows

Reece Bruce, six, and his mum Yvonne were VIP guests at the one-day Santa’s grotto at Carillon Court which raised over £1,300 for Rainbows – a special place for Reece and Yvonne.

Baljit Kooner, Carillon Court Centre Manager, said: “We are bowled over once again with the amount of money our shoppers have helped us to raise for Rainbows, which we have been supporting for some time now.

“It has been really special this year to have Yvonne and Reece as our VIP guests and Reece was all smiles when he met Father Christmas which was lovely to see.

“The festive season has well and truly started now at Carillon Court and having our grotto with a special visit from Yvonne and Reece has really got us all feeling excited about the big day itself which is not too far away now.”

Yvonne relies on the vital care and support which we provide for Reece. Yvonne said: “Reece absolutely loved meeting Father Christmas. He had the biggest smile and as soon as he saw him, his face just lit up.

“We were made to feel very special on Sunday and we are just pleased to be part of anything which helps to raise money and awareness of Rainbows which is so special to us.”

Yvonne added: “Reece is such a happy child, especially when he is at Rainbows. He is very sociable and mischievous and very, very determined. He is very loving and he loves to be cuddled.”
