Rainbows nurse shortlisted for NHS Recognition Awards

Anne-Marie Murkett, our lead nurse for education, quality and governance, has been shortlisted for the 2016 NHS Recognition Awards.

The awards pay tribute to the region’s best leaders in healthcare and Anne-Marie is nominated for the Leading and Developing People Category, the only non-NHS nominee.

Anne-Marie, who has been in her role at Rainbows for two years, said: “Great leaders don’t tell you what to do, they show you how it’s done. Helping to develop great leaders for the future is important so that the patients of the future receive high quality co-ordinated care delivered by the right people at the right time. Helping to grow our emerging leaders’ confidence is so important to me as it helps to grow their competence and resilience, that can be transferred into their practice and ultimately onto the patient.”

Now in its fourth year, the NHS Recognition awards celebrate leaders at all levels and across all professions, especially those who have ultimately improved people’s health and the public’s experience of the NHS.  Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 1 December, at St Martin’s House and Conference Centre in Leicester.
