Rainbows brings Virtual Christmas Concert this Christmastime

Rainbows wants as many people as possible to tune in their vocal chords and get in the festive spirit at a Virtual Christmas Concert.

Every Christmas, we hold our carol concerts across the East Midlands. But because of Covid restrictions, the concerts are just some of many events we have been forced to cancel this year – resulting in a dramatic loss in income for us.

So in true festive style, we are bringing a Virtual Christmas Concert to people’s homes on Sunday 20 December from 4pm.

Ali Furlong, Head of Community and Events at Rainbows, said: “This year’s Christmas Concert will be a bit different to what we are all used to. But we guarantee, the event will still have you feeling festive, and there will be plenty of performances to enjoy – performed by local schools, choirs and musicians.

“There is no cost to watch the concert but people will be able to make a donation online as they watch the festivities. This year has been such a tough year for our fundraising and donations are so gratefully received to help us continue providing vital care to over 450 children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.

“We hope to see you there enjoying the festivities from the comfort of your own home.”
