Loughborough brewery makes special Rainbows beer

Charnwood Brewery wants people to ‘hop’ on down to its Leicestershire site to pick up a special ale concocted to raise money for us. Called ‘Rainbow Fox’, the beer has been created to a brand new recipe and is now on sale at the brewery shop in Jubilee Drive, Loughborough.

As well as buying a special gift box of three bottles, people can also get in to the spirit by buying a pint of Rainbow Fox, on sale at 18 pubs across the region.

Andrew Reed at Charnwood Brewery said: “This is a completely new venture for us but something we really wanted to do. We’ve recently invested in extra capacity at the brewery which has allowed us to produce Rainbow Fox. We pride ourselves on being a family business with strong family values – Rainbows is a happy place for families, so to help raise money for such a wonderful cause that fits our ethos seemed the perfect thing to do for Christmas.

“We made sure to create a brand new recipe for Rainbows. It is a deep copper ale, ruby red in colour, and balances English malts against fruity, spicy hops – we think people will love it.”

Rainbow Fox is limited edition and it is hoped the venture will raise at ‘yeast’ £1,500 for the work of our hospice.

Rainbows Corporate Fundraiser Tom Stanyard added: “We would like to thank Andrew, Andrea and the team at Charnwood Brewery for agreeing to try something a little different for Rainbows. We’re really grateful to them for allowing us to make use of their skills and expertise to create something that will raise money for the hospice. The gift boxes will make great presents for people at Christmas and money from those and the sales of draft beer at the pubs will all go towards our vital work at the hospice.

“We are obviously encouraging people to drink responsibly and we hope people will take the ‘hopportunity’ to be socially responsible as well by raising a glass, or a bottle, to Rainbows, safe in the knowledge they’ve helped to raise money for a fantastic cause. Cheers!”
