Jelson’s Christmas Appeal brings us cheer

A Christmas appeal by Jelson Homes has raised almost £2,000 to support our vital work.

Jelson’s office-based staff took part in a dress-down day and held a competition to rename our mascot Bow Bear. There was also an online fundraising page and visitors to Jelson’s Leicestershire housing developments made donations. Collections at Leicester Riders’ home games at the Morningside Arena took the total to £1,912.

Jelson’s assistant sales manager, Kate Horton-Walker, visited our hospice to hand over the donations and meet our team. She said: “We’re delighted to be able to help the great team at Rainbows who work so hard for the children and their families.

“We’d like to thank everyone who has donated, including our suppliers and business partners, our staff and visitors to our sales offices, and everyone who gave via Leicester Riders.”

Emily Wright, Corporate Partnership Fundraiser at Rainbows, added: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Jelson Homes for choosing to support us this Christmas, and to everybody who donated to this wonderful campaign.

“We are almost entirely dependent on donations from our generous supporters to keep the hospice running and we really can’t thank everybody involved enough for helping us to continue to care for life-limited children, young people, and their families across the East Midlands.”
