Hundreds ramble for Rainbows

Around 300 people enjoyed the sunshine on Sunday as they rambled for Rainbows. For the first time, our popular Walk of Life took place at Beacon Hill Country Park. Groups of friends and families took on the 10 mile ramble and youngsters took part in the two mile Tiny Trek. It is hoped the event will raise £15,000 for us.

Ramblers started the event at Leicestershire’s famous landmark before heading to the hospice and trekking back to Beacon Hill. They were all treated to a free hog roast or spicy bean burger and invited to put their feet up after crossing the finish line.

Victoria Brunt, Event Coordinator at Rainbows, said: “As always, the Walk of Life was a fantastic event at this wonderful new venue. We would like to thank everyone who took part, all those who supported the walkers and all of our volunteers. Your backing is invaluable and the Leicestershire community are always so supportive of Rainbows and our cause.

“We look forward to next year’s event and hope that you will join us.”
