Have a Heart Radio Appeal 2011

Heart radio’s charity ‘Have a Heart’ is supporting Children’s Hospices UK this year – and they recently launched their biggest fundraising campaign – the Have a Heart Appeal.

The partnership with Heart is raising funds to help children’s hospices such as Rainbows grow the level of support and care that can be delivered to seriously ill children and their families within their own homes.

This invaluable service allows families to stay in the comfort of their own home, whilst knowing they can access the care, support and practical help that they need.

The Have a Heart Appeal launched on Monday 24 January, and is a six week campaign leading up to the Have a Heart Appeal Week (w/b 28 February), culminating with the Have a Heart Appeal Day on Friday 4 March. Find out* more about the Appeal from Heart presenters Toby Anstis, Emma Bunton and Jason Donovan.

During the campaign listeners will be encouraged to ‘do their bit’ for Have a Heart and Children’s Hospices UK, by downloading a Fundraising Pack from the station website. In the pack are loads of ideas of how to get involved at home, at school, at work – in fact wherever!

Then during the Appeal Week and Day there’ll lots of ways for listeners to get involved, such as by bidding in on-air auctions, taking part in special editions of the Time Tunnel, or by simply making a one off donation by text or online. This will all be backed up by loads of celebs lending their support to the Appeal, and there’ll be some surprises along the way too!

For more information, and details on how you can get involved, go to the Have a Heart section of heart.co.uk or keep listening to Heart!
