Forest Players Kick Off Partnership with Rainbows

Players from Nottingham Forest Football Club visited Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People to celebrate the start of a new partnership.

Club captain and Rainbows Ambassador Chris Cohen was joined by Eric Lichaj, Jorge Grant and Matty Cash as well as staff from the football club. During the visit, the players were given a good thrashing by the young people over games of Table Football and Blow Football.

The footballers and staff also had a tour around the hospice to learn more about the work carried out to support children and young people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.

Andrew Ball, Director of Income Generation at Rainbows, said: “It was great to have the players and staff from the club visiting the hospice so they could see for themselves just what a difference our partnership will make to the lives of children and young people. We are looking forward to seeing things develop this year.”

The partnership will include working more with the children and young people at Rainbows, football themed fundraising events, players and staff taking part in hospice events and bucket collections at selected matches.
