Our multi-disciplinary Family Support team recognise the specific needs of all family members, and our Family Support Workers and Nurses work alongside a family in identifying their needs and how best to provide information and practical support that will really make a difference. Emotional support is a key element that is offered throughout enabling families to talk about their fears and worries and empower them to make decisions about their child’s care. Support continues throughout a child’s life and following their death.

As part of the holistic support we offer, families can access:

  • Cultural support with our Cultural Link Worker
  • Spiritual support with our Spiritual Support Worker
  • Outreach play and Music Therapy
  • Sibling Support, which is available siblings aged five to 18-years-old
  • Youth work, with our Youth Worker
  • Transition Support
  • Bereavement Support

In addition, families can receive support via various groups.
