Support from the very beginning

Our clinical nurse specialists work alongside NHS antenatal, neonatal and children’s teams across the East Midlands, bringing our specialist palliative care expertise into hospitals and closer to families, right from diagnosis.

They take time to get to know each family, understand what’s important to them and support them through the decisions ahead. Working closely with the professionals already caring for mother and baby, they help assess what’s needed and plan the care and support that may lie ahead.

Care shaped around every family

Every baby’s journey is different. For some families, there may be difficult decisions to make about care before or after their baby is born. Others may be preparing for an uncertain future. Whatever lies ahead, Rainbows works alongside families and their healthcare teams to make sure each baby’s care is shaped around their individual needs and their family’s wishes.
