These events are a mix of Rainbows organised events and ‘in aid of events’ (events planned so to support us by third parties – not organised by Rainbows.)

  • Sunday 7 December – Loughborough Santa Run

    Date: Sunday 7 December
    Time: 7am until 2pm (majority of roles begin at 9am)
    Venue: Market Place, Loughborough, LE11 2PZ

    Details of Activity:
    Our annual Rainbows Loughborough Santa Run continues to grow from strength to strength – and last year, over 700 Santas took to the streets for a brilliant, festive fun run! To make this magical event possible, we need the help of over 100 amazing volunteers to spread some festive cheer and keep things running smoothly on race day.

    Volunteer roles include:

    Event Set-up Crew – Help us prepare the site before the crowds arrive

    Registration Assistants – Welcome participants and check them in

    Route Marshals – Guide and cheer on our Santas along the course

    Stewards – Keep everyone safe and smiling

    Medal Station Volunteers – Hand out medals and congratulate finishers!

  • Saturday 13 December – Bucket Collection – Morrisons, Clifton, Nottingham

    Date:  Saturday 13 December
    Time:  9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm
    Venue:  Morrisons Green Lane, Clifton NG16 3SG

  • Monday 15 December – Bucket Collection – Morrisons, Swadlincote

    Date: Monday 15 December
    Time: 10am until 2pm (various slots)
    Venue: Morrisons, Coppice Side, , Swadlincote DE11 8HL

    Bucket collecting in store. Two hour time slots available throughout the day.

  • Friday 19 December – Tractor Run – Various Locations (East Leake, Burton on the Wolds) nr Loughborough

    Date: Friday 19 December
    Time: 4:30pm onwards (you’ll be stood down as collection areas have finished)  Times TBC
    Venue: Various village locations – TBC

    Details of Activity:
    Collecting for Rainbows as part of the Tractor Run event that covers villages surrounding Loughborough. We will have certain areas to cover as a couple of volunteer groups with staff members too – most likely local pubs / streets where the tractor run will be passing. It’s a great festive event and further details on locations will be available nearer the time. This event is outside and so you’ll need to wrap up warm!
