Sweepstake Guidelines
Please read below for our Sweepstake Guidelines.
Sweepstake competitions can be a fun way to bring your friends or colleagues together to raise money for Rainbows.
There are a few rules that you will need to follow if you plan to run your own sweepstake:
- The entry price must be the same for all participants.
- The person organising the sweepstake and all participants must be over 18.
- You need to decide before starting your sweepstake competition whether the entry money will be split between the winner and the charity, or if you are going to have a separate prize with all entry fees going to the Charity (Rainbows). Whichever option you choose, participants must be informed before they enter, and you, as the organiser, cannot profit from the sweepstake. (i.e. the raised funds will need to be donated)
- You are not permitted to and must not sell entry on the street or from house to house.
- Office sweepstakes can only take place in one office with people in the same premises.
- If running your sweepstake at work, participants in your office sweepstake must all be employed to work from the same location.
- If running your sweepstake at home, participants in your sweepstake must all live on the same premises as the organiser.
