Nottingham Open serves up a treat for Rainbows

Once again we are set to benefit by netting a share of the proceeds from the Nature Valley Open Nottingham.

For the fourth consecutive year, we have been chosen as the official charity partner for the world class tennis event, headlined by players including Johanna Konta, Katie Boulter and Ashleigh Barty.

The Nature Valley Open Nottingham runs from Saturday 8 June to Sunday 16 June with Monday 10 served up as the official Rainbows Day. On that day, our charity will take centre court and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to our hospice with people paying any price they desire from £3. There will also be a host of ace activities happening on the day and collections for us will be around the stadium.

Matthew Winn, Organisational Giving Fundraiser at Rainbows, said: “This is such an amazing event and we are delighted to be involved in this partnership once again. Last year, more than £10,000 was raised for our vital work of supporting more than 400 children and young people, including those from Nottinghamshire.

“We look forward to the tournament and the designated Rainbows day and thanks to everyone involved for supporting us.”

Tournament Director, Rebecca James, said: “We are looking forward to linking up with our official charity partner Rainbows for another year. Rainbows does such important work with children and young people and we are delighted they can be involved in the Nature Valley Open again.

“Our charity day this year takes place on Monday 10 June and I am sure the fantastic tennis fans at the Nottingham Tennis Centre will support this worthwhile cause.”
