Mark Master Masons donate £9,000 to Rainbows

Rainbows has received a £9,000 grant from the Mark Master Masons of Leicestershire & Rutland funded by its charity, the Mark Benevolent Fund.

The donation, which is part of a Major Capital Grant of £1.3m to over 250 hospices in England, Wales, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, recognises the contribution made by HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh to the service of the Crown and the life of the nation.

Phillip Mann, the Provincial Grand Master for Leicestershire & Rutland said: “We are absolutely delighted that the members of the Province have chosen to support Rainbows. We are all aware of the toll that the pandemic has taken on charities across the country and hope that this gift will go some way to help enhance care for children and young people and provide improved facilities for those in need and their families.”

Jenny Perry, Community Fundraiser at Rainbows, welcomed the donation. She said: “We would like to thank everyone at the Mark Master Masons of Leicestershire & Rutland for this incredible gift. We rely on the donations of our supporters to be able to fund the vital care we provide at Rainbows and without that support; we simply wouldn’t be able to open our doors.”
