Loughborough theatre group donates to Rainbows

A Loughborough theatre group will be donating a percentage of ticket sales to us from its future productions. For the next year, The Festival Players, will donate £1 from every ticket transaction to our hospice. Productions for 2017 are Goodnight Mister Tom, Teechers, Equus and How the Other Half Loves.

Nick Grainger, Artistic Director for The Festival Players, said: “Every year the group donates a percentage of its profits to worthwhile causes and having recently supported local prostate and breast cancer charities we felt the need to support one which helped children and young people. Having chosen a wonderful cause like Rainbows, we thought this would be a great way to raise funds and over the year, we hope to raise several thousand pounds for the work of the hospice. This money will be in addition to the £1000 already pledged to Rainbows at our recent Annual General Meeting.”

Gary Farnfield, Rainbows Community Fundraiser in Leicestershire, added: “We would like to thank The Festival Players for choosing to support us next year. Their shows are always fantastic and it is wonderful to have them on board.” Tickets for all four plays can be purchased direct from The Festival Players box office on 07855 248832 or by contacting The Loughborough Town Hall box office on 01509 231914 or online at www.loughboroughtownhall.co.uk
