Gift company raises bottle for Rainbows

A Leicestershire gift company is raising a bottle to Rainbows as it donates over £200.

Frank & Flo, based in Anstey, specialises in personalised gifts. Since June, it has been donating profits from the sale of its water bottles to our hospice.

Owner Laura Williams started the business in February 2018, named after her son, Frankie and her childhood nickname, Flo. She said: “The idea of Frank & Flo came from my love of personalised items as a child but then with my children. I think personalised items are not only useful but also keepsakes.

“The idea of Rainbows bottles came from a friend, who actually works at Rainbows. She saw the rainbow image that I was using and mentioned donating the proceeds to the charity. I thought it was an amazing idea so I got in touch that day and here we are now.

“As well as it being a local charity, we also have quite a few connections with Rainbows. I am also a primary school teacher, taking a break to work on Frank & Flo, and I have seen how much Rainbows benefits families in the East Midlands.”

The bottles, which are £10 with 20% going to our charity, have been very popular and within the first month, 100 had sold.

Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving at Rainbows, said: “This has been such a fantastic and popular initiative and on behalf of everyone at Rainbows, thank you so much to Laura. At Rainbows, we support over 400 children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and we rely on the support of others to be able to provide our valuable service, particularly in these difficult times.”
