Forest backs ‘Where’s It Bin?’ campaign

Players at Nottingham Forest have been clearing out the changing room and their own cupboards to donate unwanted items to our shops.

As part of our ‘Where’s It Bin?’ campaign, the Reds have been filling up wheelie bins with items from old training gear to baby clothes. The ‘Where’s It Bin?’ campaign sees us drop three branded wheelie bins to businesses, organisations and clubs across region for one week. People are encouraged to fill them with unwanted goods.

Chris Cohen, Forest captain and Rainbows Honorary Ambassador, arranged for the bins to be kept at the training ground earlier this month. He said: “We are delighted to be helping Rainbows with its latest initiative and it’s been great having the bins at Wilford Lane. Everyone at the club has been very supportive and my family have personally donated a range of clothes and toys. We all have things we don’t want and ‘Where’s It Bin?’ makes it really easy for people to have a clear out and donate things. It would be fantastic if we can get as many businesses in Nottinghamshire, or other sports clubs, to join us and get involved.”

As part of the campaign, there is an online leader board to challenge companies and clubs to collect more than their rivals, with prizes up for grabs for the teams that top the table.

Kate Golding, Corporate Partnerships Manager for Rainbows, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Nottingham Forest for taking part in this initiative. Hopefully there will be lots of items in the bins that will be of huge interest to fans. “The idea of keeping the collection bins at the work place is so employees who want to donate their unwanted items don’t have to go out of their way to do so, they can simply just bring them to work with them. Whether you’re a team of three or 300, you could help make a huge difference by filling a bin with your unwanted items.”
