Cheers! County brewer’s Rainbow beer to raise hospice cash

A county brewery has relaunched its special ‘Rainbow Fox’ ale to raise funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

Following continued success, Charnwood Brewery is once more brewing its exclusive beer in time for Christmas, when it hopes sales will raise a four-figure sum for the Loughborough charity, which supports youngsters with life-limiting conditions.

Bottles of Rainbow Fox, including special gift box sets of three bottles, are now on sale at the brewery shop in Jubilee Drive, Loughborough. A limited number of the gift box sets will also be available at the Rainbows hospice shop in Cattle Market, Loughborough, during December.

Andrea Reed, Head Brewer at Charnwood Brewery said: “The Rainbow Fox ale is incredibly popular with our customers, which is why we have decided to make it available once more. We pride ourselves on being a family business with strong family values – Rainbows hospice offers amazing support for families, so to help raise money for such a wonderful cause also fits our ethos and seems the perfect thing to do for Christmas.

“The recipe is exclusive for Rainbows. It is a deep copper ale, ruby red in colour and balances English malts against fruity, spicy hops – our customers seem to love it.”

Tom Stanyard, Rainbows Corporate Fundraiser, added: “We’re really grateful to the team at Charnwood Brewery for creating something a little bit special that will raise money for Rainbows. The gift boxes will make great presents for people at Christmas and sales of draft beer at the pubs will all go towards our vital work at the hospice.

“We are obviously encouraging people to drink responsibly raising a glass, or a bottle, to Rainbows, knowing they’ve helped to raise money for a fantastic cause. Cheers!”

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People supports youngsters and their families from across the East Midlands when they need it most.
