Businesses needed for sports day fun

A school sports day for adults – with inflatables, costumes, foam and water – is coming to Loughborough.

It’s a Knockout will take place on Thursday 4 July and will raise money for our hospice. Based on the popular TV show, the event sees teams rotate through 12 different games, from a banana dash, dinghy derby and a basketball shootout to a costumed chicken run.

We are calling on all local businesses to sign up.

Tom Stanyard, Corporate Fundraiser at Rainbows, said: “It’s a Knockout was a great TV show and this event really is so much fun. After a successful launch of the event last year, and with a full complement of teams, we aim to raise around £20,000 for the vital work of Rainbows.

“For two and a half hours, the 12 games will test your teamwork, strength, stamina and balance – oh, and your stomach muscles will get a great workout from all the laughing too!

“Get your colleagues together and enter a team of six to 10 people, have a great time and raise money for Rainbows.”

The event, at 3M Sports Field, Loughborough, starts at 5pm and entry is £150 per team.
