We’ve partnered with Ultra Challenge® the UK’s No 1 Series of treks & trail runs! Take on a challenge at your pace and fundraise for your favourite charity! Whether along a stunning coastline or on trails through magnificent countryside, you’ll get full support all the way – including plenty of food & drink, medics & massage, camaraderie, a medal & T shirt – and an amazing sense of achievement. With 20 events to choose from, and distance options ranging from 10 km up to the full 100 km – there’s an Ultra Challenge waiting for you in 2026.

Whether you’re flying solo, joining friends, or rallying your colleagues, there’s an unforgettable challenge waiting for you.

Getting started is easy—just follow these simple steps:

1. Browse: Click here and explore the full calendar of exciting challenge events you can take part in to support Rainbows.

2. Sign Up: Check out the event fact sheets, pick your perfect challenge, and get ready to take it on!

3. Choose Your Payment Plan: Select the payment option that works for you and select to support Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People as your chosen charity.

4. Start Fundraising: Every pound you raise makes a real difference—and we’ll be here to cheer you on every step of the way.

Cost options:

1. Full sponsorship – 25% OFF when you choose Rainbows!
  • Pay a small registration fee and fundraise to a minimum target – with at least 50% due 3 weeks prior to the event. Rainbows will pay for your challenge place.
  • When supporting Rainbows you get an incredible 25% OFF the ‘standard’ registration fees!
2. Mixed Funding
  • Pay half the registration fee and fundraise to a lower target – with at least 50% due 3 weeks prior to the event. Rainbows will pay the remaining balance of your challenge place.
3. Own place fundraising
  • Pay the full cost of your registration fee and fundraise whatever you can for Rainbows. No targets or deadlines and just a small admin fee will be charged to Rainbows.

Please note: Registration fees and fundraising targets vary depending on the event and distance selected.

Why fundraise for Rainbows?

We can’t do the work we do without your support, so in addition to everything provided by Ultra Challenge, Rainbows will provide:

  • A dedicated member of the fundraising team to support you
  • A Supporting Rainbows technical t-shirt when you raise £100
  • A fundraising guide, as well as fundraising advice, hints and tips in the build up to the event
  • Access to a range of Rainbows fundraising materials (collection boxes, posters, balloons etc.) to make any events you hold look amazing

We’re here for the whole family, offering comfort and compassion during tough times, providing the highest level of professional care until the end, and support after. Simply put, we’re here to brighten short lives, and support families, wherever they are.

Every penny you raise, will help support our vital work here at the Hospice, in the local community and in hospitals.

How do I fundraise?

The simplest way to fundraise is by utilising the online donation site JustGiving. Think of your JustGiving page as an online sponsorship form… and setting it up typically only takes a few minutes.

Once you have signed up for an event choose your target- you’re doing something brilliant and people will want to support you!
