From Charity of the Year schemes to Cause Related Marketing campaigns, there are so many ways your company can work in partnership with us to make a difference to our families lives.
Working in partnership to brighten short lives
If your organisation is as passionate about supporting babies, children and young people with serious or terminal conditions as we are, building a partnership with us is the perfect way to have an impact in a way that suits you.
Long term partnerships are a fantastic way to go on a journey with Rainbows, to learn about our support for local families in an in-depth way and see the real impact your support is having on our growth in helping more children and young people. As a charity who only receives around 18% of Government funding, it also provides us with sustainable income, meaning we can plan for the future and you can have a lasting legacy on those families that you would be helping to support.
If your organisation has a charity of the year scheme please consider adopting us as your selected charity and we will work with you throughout the year to maximise your impact and involve your staff. As part of our partnership with you we can provide you with brilliant staff engagement through a range of volunteering opportunities, including volunteering at the hospice on special projects or to help with maintenance of the hospice grounds, volunteering at our events in the community or at our charity shops.
“We are so proud to be a longstanding supporter of Rainbows, over the past 20 years we have raised over £266,000 in support of their incredible work for families in the East Midlands, and they know they can rely on our support each year. Our charity golf day has now become a staple in the diary for many people and is an event we all look forward to.” – Nick Murray, Sales Director at Guardsman
Throughout our partnerships we will provide you with:
- A dedicated member of the team to support you throughout the partnership and generate ideas
- A calendar of events and challenges you can be involved in such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and our corporate challenges and events
- Materials such as posters, leaflets, banners, t-shirts, collection tins and even guest visits from our mascot Bow Bear!
- Help to unite staff towards a common goal and promote staff engagement through team building activities and volunteering opportunities
- PR support to raise your profile as a responsible business
- Bespoke support tailored to your business and corporate social responsibility objectives

Cause Related Marketing (CRM) Partnerships
These allow you to support Rainbows whilst marketing something you already offer, it’s a proven fact that consumers are more likely to buy goods associated with a good cause.
These work by donating a percentage or set amount from sales of a specific product or service to Rainbows, and shouting about the fact that you are doing so to your customers too! We can support you in setting up a CRM partnership and can promote your support too.
Here are some examples of how it works…
One of our oldest CRM partnerships is with tour and river cruise specialist Riviera Travel. When booking with them, holidaymakers just need to mention ‘Rainbows’ and we’ll receive 10% of the holiday total cost. This has raised over £15,000 since 2012!
Ever So Sensible
Restaurant, pub and hotel chain Ever So Sensible, who have locations across the East Midlands, donate 50p from every Rainbows Burger sold at their restaurants. In just a few years this simple CRM has raised thousands for us!
You can also ask customers to round up or add a small donation to their bill towards Rainbows, it’s amazing how each small donation adds up! For advice on how to implement this, or if you would like to start a CRM partnership, get in touch with our Partnerships Development Manager, Melanie, to discuss in more detail.
We have a great range of events and initiatives you can support through sponsorship, meaning you get fantastic brand exposure and various benefits whilst meeting your marketing and CSR goals. Most importantly, you help to reduce our costs of things like materials and registration fees, meaning more money raised at our events can go directly towards supporting our families.
Please contact our Partnerships Development Manager, Melanie, if you would like to take advantage of our fabulous sponsorship opportunities or discuss further.
