Take the Leap for Rainbows

A tandem skydive is the perfect opportunity to tick something incredible off your bucket list while raising vital funds for Rainbows. No previous experience is needed – after a short training session, you’ll be securely harnessed to a fully qualified parachuting instructor and prepared for the experience of a lifetime.

Jump from 14,000 feet and feel the exhilaration of freefall as you reach speeds of up to 120mph. Then, enjoy the stunning views as your parachute opens and you glide gently back to the ground, taking in the scenery from a unique perspective.

Take the leap, make memories, and make a difference.

Please note that for tandem skydives there is a MAXIMUM WEIGHT (fully clothed) of 95 kg (15 stone) or 83 kg if you are less than 163cm (5ft 4in). This limit is in place for your own safety and that of our instructors. For a tandem skydive in the UK you must be a minimum age of 16. Anybody who is under 18 years old will need a parent or guardian who can also sign the forms.

How to sign up:

  • Registration is £60
  • Minimum fundraising target is £400* (excluding Gift Aid)
  • Video and photo packages are available at an additional cost. For details click here.

* We require participants to have raised £150 sponsorship one month before the event.

  • Is there somewhere for spectators to go?

There is a large spectator area at Skydive Langar along with picnic benches in an ideal location for your friends and family to watch you in action. There is also a Café onsite available to purchase food and drinks.

  • What should I wear to Skydive?

Ensure that your clothes are comfortable, something that you can move around in easily. If it is a cold day, wrap up warm and bring a pair of gloves.

  • What happens if the weather is too bad to skydive?

In accordance with British Skydiving regulations, we must operate within strict safety limits with regards to cloud cover and wind speeds. If the weather is deemed unsuitable for tandem skydiving you will be given the opportunity to re-schedule your booking for another time at your convenience.

  • Should I eat before I jump?

Absolutely, eat as normal. We always advise everyone to eat before they jump. Adrenaline does not like empty stomachs!

  • Will I receive any training before I jump?

You will receive a safety briefing with an instructor before you jump. They will cover all aspects of the skydive with you including the equipment and what to expect. This can take approximately 10 – 15 minutes.
