Join Team Rainbows at the UK’s biggest theme park for a brilliant morning of racing and rides. The Run Alton Towers Junior and 10km races take you on a unique route inside Alton Towers Resort, with a finish you will remember and theme park entry included in every place. Celebrate your run with a full day of fun on the rides after you cross the line. 

Home to record breaking roller coasters and sensational family attractions this course is set on smooth, fully marked paths within the resort, providing the perfect opportunity to chase down a chip timed personal best.  Expect clear signage with KM flags and mile markers, friendly marshals at key points, and a lively event village atmosphere to keep the energy high from start to finish.

Kids Race – 11.30am
  • Registration is FREE
  • Minimum fundraising target is £35* (excluding Gift Aid)

This 2km race is open to children of all ages. Adults can also take part in the Kids Race at Alton Towers – you are more than welcome to join your child and fundraise too. However, if you choose to let your child run solo, you must purchase a spectator ticket to gain entry to the park.

10km Race – 10.00am
  • Registration is FREE
  • Minimum fundraising target is £50* (excluding Gift Aid)

Participants must be at least 15 years old to take part in the 10km race.

What’s included as a Rainbows runner?

When you take part in Run Alton Towers for Rainbows, we’ll be with you every step of the way to help with your fundraising. You will receive:

  • A dedicated member of the fundraising team to support you to the finish line and beyond
  • A fundraising guide, as well as fundraising advice, hints and tips in the build up to the event
  • A branded Rainbows Cotton top
