Run a Marathon for Rainbows
We’ve partnered with Run For Charity to offer exciting marathon events across the UK. Take on a challenge and help support babies, children and young people with a serious or terminal illness.
Brighton Marathon – 12 April 2026
- Registration Fee- £25+ booking fee
- Minimum Fundraising target- £300 excluding Gift Aid
- Sponsorship Deadline- You must complete your registration on the Run for Charity Portal and have raised £100 by 6 November 2025 in order to confirm your place
Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris – 12 April 2026
- Registration Fee- £60+ booking fee
- Minimum Fundraising target- £650 excluding Gift Aid
- Sponsorship Deadline- You must complete your registration on the Run for Charity Portal and have raised £250 by 12 January 2026 in order to confirm your place
Manchester Marathon – 19 April 2026
- Registration Fee- £60+ booking fee
- Minimum Fundraising target- £650 excluding Gift Aid
- Sponsorship Deadline- You must complete your registration on the Run for Charity Portal and have raised £250 by 17 October 2026 in order to confirm your place
Shakespeare Marathon – 26 April 2026
- Registration Fee- £25+ booking fee
- Minimum Fundraising target- £300 excluding Gift Aid
- Sponsorship Deadline- You must complete your registration on the Run for Charity Portal and have raised £100 by 5 March 2026 in order to confirm your place
Leeds Marathon – 10 May 2026
- Registration Fee- £25+ booking fee
- Minimum Fundraising target- £300 excluding Gift Aid
- Sponsorship Deadline- You must complete your registration on the Run for Charity Portal and have raised £100 by 13 April 2026 in order to confirm your place
Edinburgh Marathon – 24 May 2026
- Registration Fee- £60+ booking fee
- Minimum Fundraising target- £650 excluding Gift Aid
- Sponsorship Deadline- You must complete your registration on the Run for Charity Portal and have raised £250 by 10 December 2026 in order to confirm your place

Why fundraise for Rainbows?
We can’t do the work we do without your support, so by taking part in a challenge we will provide:
- A dedicated member of the fundraising team to support you
- A fundraising guide, as well as fundraising advice, hints and tips in the build up to the event
- Access to a range of Rainbows fundraising materials (collection boxes, posters, balloons etc.) to make any events you hold look amazing
By fundraising for Rainbows you will be helping to support babies, children, young people and their families living with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, here in the East Midlands.
We support every baby, child and young person to fulfil their potential, and help families make the most of every precious moment, while capturing memories and keepsakes to treasure. We’re here for the whole family, offering comfort and compassion during tough times, providing the highest level of professional care until the end, and support after. Simply put, we’re here to brighten short lives, and support families, wherever they are.
Every penny you raise, will help support our vital work here at the Hospice, in the local community and in hospitals.
How do I fundraise?
The simplest way to fundraise is by utilising the online donation site JustGiving. Think of your JustGiving page as an online sponsorship form… and setting it up typically only takes a few minutes.
Once you have signed up for an event choose your target- you’re doing something brilliant and people will want to support you!
