Diane Postle – Chairperson
Diane is our chairperson and was previously our clinical trustee for nursing. Diane sits on the Clinical Quality Assurance Committee. She is currently Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality at Kettering general hospital.
Diane has held various senior nursing posts within the NHS working within acute care, community and general practice.
She is a qualified general nurse, midwife and health visitor.
Alison Breadon – Vice Chair and Treasurer
Alison is our financial trustee, Treasurer and chairs our Corporate Governance Committee.
She is a partner at the large accounting firm, Price Waterhouse Coopers and leads their Government and public assurance team for the East Midlands.
Dr Sheila Marriott – Vice Chair
Sheila is a clinical trustee and chairs our Clinical Quality Assurance Committee.
She is currently Regional Director for the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) for the East Midlands and is a Qualified Children’s and Adults’ Nurse.
Sheila has previously been Director of Nursing at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and has held various director positions at Regional and Strategic Health Authorities. She is a board member of the East Midlands’ Clinical Senate and of the National Health Quality Improvement Programme (NQIP) and is also the co-chair of Nottingham Citizens, a community-based organising alliance.
Anne-Maria Olphert -Trustee
Anne-Maria is a clinical trustee who also sits on our Clinical Quality Assurance Committee.
She is currently Director of Nursing for Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust. Anne-Maria is a qualified Children’s and Adults’ Nurse and previously she was Director of Children’s Community Health Services for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Joanne Brunner – Trustee
Joanne is our retail trustee and she’s also a member of our Corporate Governance Committee.
She currently works as an independent retail consultant and she has previously been Director of Implementation at Boots plc, responsible for running big change and development programmes nationwide.
Joanne is also a qualified Pharmacist with over 30 years’ experience working in retail pharmacy.
Dr Jane Williams – Trustee
Jane is a medical trustee and a member of our Clinical Quality Assurance Committee.
She is currently a practicing Paediatrician at Nottingham Children’s Hospital. She has published many papers and recently edited a book on the management of children with neuro-disabilities. Jane was previously chair of the British Academy of Childhood Disability and has been involved in writing NICE guidelines.
Richard Bishop – Trustee
Richard served 25 years as an investor, predominantly providing Growth Capital to growing companies across a broad range of sectors. In 2011 Richard set up the Business Growth Fund (BGF) as Head of Investments. This business was established by the Banks, with government encouragement to invest in and support entrepreneurial businesses across the UK. BGF established 5 regions and Richard recruited and led the regional teams to build the UKs leading growth capital investor. BGF has now invested over £500m across almost every sector supporting entrepreneurs.
Jonathan Wheeler – Trustee
Jonathan is our legal trustee.
He is the Managing Partner of Spearing Waite LLP, a firm of solicitors based in Leicester.
Jonathan is a qualified and practising Solicitor who specialises in commercial dispute resolution.
Sue Dryden – Trustee
Sue is the latest member to join the Board of Trustees who worked in the NHS for 40 years following qualification as a dual trained-SRN, RSCN- nurse.
Sue has worked both in the UK and abroad during her career undertaking a variety of roles from leading and managing a children’s ward in a rural Kenyan Hospital to developing the Nottingham Children’s Community Team.
