Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator – Fixed 12 month contract
Full-Time (37.5hours)
Salary: £23,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our People team on a 12-month fixed term basis. The post-holder will recruit volunteers and provide practical support both in the hospice and across our communities. Acting as the first point of contact for all volunteering related enquires, the post holder will deal with straight forward volunteer queries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues where appropriate. The post holder will be responsible for the collation and completion of all required recruitment paperwork and compliance with mandatory training.

The successful candidate must have the ability to foster good relationships both with staff and volunteers, with the ability to work confidently with people across the organisation. Attention to detail and a pragmatic flexible approach to work is essential, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and be highly organised. Demonstrable understanding and practical application of safeguarding is essential for this role.
