Scrooge cast brings Christmas magic to hospice youngsters

The cast of Curve theatre’s Scrooge the Musical brought seasonal song to light up faces of youngsters with life-limiting conditions at Rainbows Hospice.

Cast members from the production playing at Leicester’s Curve – including EastEnders actor Danny-Boy Hatchard – performed a medley of songs from the theatre production, mixed with Christmas Carols and Disney favourites.

Performers then met youngsters, families and staff at the Loughborough-based charity before dashing back for their evening show at the Curve.

Santa Express arrives early for Rainbows kids

The Santa Express arrived early for youngsters at Rainbows hospice – and it was laden with toys, thanks to the Great Central Railway and warm-hearted supporters.

The steam railway called in at the hospice, which supports youngsters with life-limiting conditions, bringing a touch of special Christmas magic.

The toy delivery comes after the heart-breaking theft of gifts last month (November) collected by the railway and destined for youngsters at Rainbows and the Children’s Ward at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
