Woodhouse Eaves May Day Challenge

Are you up for the Woodhouse May Day Challenge?

Please note, this event is organised by a third party to support Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

Challenge yourself and support Rainbows, by taking part in the 10th annual Woodhouse May Day Challenge.

Whether you’re an experienced eventer or you just fancy a new challenge, the Woodhouse May Day Challenge – which will see you take part in a 13.5 mile route through the beautiful Charnwood Forest – is not to be missed.

Perfect for runners and walkers, the event will see you start at Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall before heading into Charnwood Forest. Along the route you’ll be given refreshments to keep you going and after you’ve finished you’ll get to enjoy a filling lunch followed by tea and homemade cakes back at base camp.

Entry into the event costs £18pp and includes all of the above. Don’t miss out on this great event, sign up before entries close at midnight on Saturday 5 May 2018.


Who can take part in the event?

The event is open everyone, with categories for runners and walkers – please make sure you sign up for the correct category, any walkers observed running will be reclassified. Those aged under-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dogs are permitted to take part, but must be kept under control at all times and extendable leads are not permitted.

What is the cost?

The cost is £18 and this includes a guaranteed place, refreshments along the course, followed by a lunch, tea and homemade cakes

Where is the event?

The event starts at Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall and will take you through the Charnwood countryside.

Where do I get my registration number from?

Please be aware of your entry number, which will be available to view on lists as you enter the village hall. You will also collect your bib from the village hall before assembling at the starting line. Tea and coffee will also be available, although donations are encouraged for refreshments before the event starts. Toilets, changing facilities and a ‘bag drop’ will also be available.

Is there parking at the event?

All village entry routes will be covered by parking marshals who will be happy to direct you to parking. The event will be using the same parking areas that they have in previous years.
