Let Rainbows benefit from Santa's mistakes

Santa may have got it a little bit wrong for people this Christmas but you can salve your conscience for not loving every present you’ve received by donating unwanted gifts to our shops.

By donating unwanted gifts to us, people will be helping to fund the specialist care the hospice provides to more than 318 children and young people across the East Midlands. Rainbows also supports 293 bereavedfamilies and 579 siblings.

Karen Bilsby, Rainbows Retail Manager, said: “We’re grateful for anyone’s unwanted gifts. You may not love the new jumper but someone else might have been looking for one for months. People often receive gifts that may be the wrong size, are duplicates or just not to their taste.

“Donating presents to Rainbows helps you make space in your wardrobes and cupboards, and helps us raise money. And you’ll be happy knowing that instead of gathering dust in a corner; your unwanted gift is helping a local child.”

Donating clothes worth £10 could help to fund two days’ worth of oxygen for a child, £25 could help fund one hour of physiotherapy and clothes worth £50 could go towards one day of care for a child or young person.
