Let Rainbows benefit from Santa’s unwanted gifts
Our supporters can help us by donating their unwanted, or surplus seasonal gifts.
We are asking people to donate those oversized jumpers, unwanted toys and duplicate gifts received at Christmas.
We have five shops across the East Midlands in Loughborough, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Beeston and Blaby. Last year, sales from our shops raised almost £200,000 for our charity.
Karen Bilsby, Head of Retail at Rainbows, said: “People shouldn’t feel guilty about not liking a gift or hanging on to something they just won’t use, sometimes Santa gets it a bit wrong. Re-gifting has become very popular and often a present that isn’t right for you, is the perfect item for someone else. And of course, we are ever grateful for your items of clothing, toys and other gifts to make way for your new ones.”
By donating to our shops, people will be helping to fund the specialist care we provide to hundreds of youngsters with life-limiting illnesses in the East Midlands.
“If you are a UK taxpayer, you could be giving so much more,” added Karen. “Your donation could be worth 25% more at no cost to you thanks to gift aid – please ask for more details in store.”
