Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People is urging people from across the East Midlands to pledge just £1 to help care for the children, young people and families it supports by playing its annual Super Draw lottery.

The Summer Super Draw – now in its fifth year – plays a crucial part in raising the necessary funds needed to keep Rainbows running each year, and this year the prize fund has been increased to a total of £5,000, with a top prize of £3,000.

The big draw will this year take place on the July 29 2011, and tickets can be purchased until July 25 for just £1 each. The lucky winners will receive a cheque after the draw, which could be £50, £100, £500 or the grand prize of £3,000.

Last year’s top prize’s winner was Mrs Doust, who is from Mansfield. She said: “Rainbows is such as worth-while cause and I try to support the hospice in any way I can. What it does for the children and families it supports is incredible. When I found out I had won the grand prize of £3,000 in last year’s Super Draw I was thrilled! I’ll definitely be playing again this year.”

Jas Dosanjh, Lottery & Cultural Fundraiser at Rainbows, said: “The Super Draw gives you a great chance of winning cash prizes whilst helping to contribute to the £3.8million we need each year to keep Rainbows up and running.

“Whether you buy one ticket for £1 or 15, you’ll be making a difference to lives of the children, young people and families we support each and every day.”

In addition to the annual Super Draw, Rainbows also runs a weekly lottery. Further information can be found at
