Derby Cathedral Abseil
Saturday 13 October 2018
9:00 - 19:00
Derby Cathedral, Derby
See Derby like never before... by abseiling down Derby Cathedral
Have a head for heights or feeling adventurous? Challenge yourself, make a difference to the children, young people and families who rely on Rainbows – and sign up for our Derby Cathedral Abseil.
Taking place on Saturday 13 October 2018, the abseil will require you to walk up the 189 steps of the second highest cathedral tower in the country, before providing you with spectacular views across Derby city centre.
Once at the top of the historic tower, you’ll step over the edge and abseil the 212ft back to the ground – giving you an adrenaline rush like no other. We’re certain when your feet touch the ground again, you’ll want to have another go.
Our Derby Cathedral Abseil is available from 9am until 7pm on the day, and you’ll be asked your preferred time slot when booking. Interested in taking part in this fantastic challenge event? Sign up today by clicking on the “Book Now” button.
Would you like to do it in the dark? With it being darker nights in October we would like to give you the option of completing your abseil in the dark to add a whole new experience to your challenge, if you are interested please select the do it in the dark option as your preferred time.
For more information about this challenge and to discuss fundraising requirements please call Alison Furlong on 01509 638006 or click here to email her.
To take part in the Derby Cathedral Abseil, we require a £20 registration fee; and we ask all participants to raise a minimum of £100.
The minimum age to participate is 12 years old.
