From what will feel like a safari on two wheels, it covers African savannah, the Maasai lands, farmlands, plantations and some rainforest. How Hard? Can be tough in places. Snowshoeing is slightly more physical than walking, but distances are manageable.
How Good? Excellent. A really good insight in what surrounds the big mountain, such variety. Stay in Lodges (not camping) so good recovery facilities. Support vehicles and mechanics on hand.
20 – 28 Mar 2021
Registration Fee – £250.
This trek is one of the best experiences out there simply because it’s so different. It’s liberating and few people, if any, come back not wanting more. It’s fun, it’s infectious, adventurous, it’s just different. The Sahara is a vast, safe area and you will be hard pushed to see anyone else. Lose the mobiles, ipads and anything that needs electricity and say goodbye to the world for 5 days!
How Long? Nine days UK – UK (Sat – Sun), five days trekking.
How Good? Absolutely brilliant. Superb in a group as there’s nothing around you except lots and lots of sand. Seriously good fun with the high dunes and it’s a very safe area. It’s camping in a warm environment (if not hot).
24 – 30 Jan 2021.
Registration fee £250
