A whole world of sponsorship opportunities

We’re always looking for sponsors for our events, literature, advertising and fundraising activities. Their support means so much to us and makes a big difference to what we can offer our children. There are also many benefits for your company:

Ways to sponsor our work

Newsletter

Rainbows’ magazine-style newsletter goes out to 17,000 supporters twice a year. It’s a colourful, 16-page publication with news about the hospice, family stories and articles about our supporters. It lets people know how their donations make a difference, with updates on the hospice and community news.

You can sponsor one issue for £5,000. Your logo will be shown on every page and an article will be included about your company within the newsletter.

Care newsletter

The Care Newsletter is produced quarterly by our family support team and goes out to all of the families who benefit from our services. It includes articles about developments within the hospice, stories about the children and young people and informative pieces on care.

You can sponsor one issue for £1,000. Your logo will be shown on every page and an article will be included about your company within the newsletter.

Marketing campaigns

We often run marketing campaigns to generate funds or attract new donors. We always need sponsors to support these campaigns in return for their name on all printed and electronic literature.

Events

Sponsoring a Rainbows’ event is a great way of showing your company’s support to local charities. It also gives you the opportunity to get involved in the fun side of Rainbows’ fundraising.

Your company name and logo will appear on all literature. Where possible, your staff can attend the event and advertising stands can be placed in the venue.

Some of our larger events available for sponsorship include:

The Walk of Life

• A sponsored walk with over 800 people walking 15 miles around Leicester’s parks.
• Heavily advertised with 30,000 leaflets, 1,000 posters, emails to almost 10,000 supporters, several press articles, radio coverage and the opportunity for TV coverage.
• There are also opportunities for signage at the main park and at water sites along the walk. There’s also room for company stands and giveaways in the goodie bags.

Family Fun Day

• A summer spectacular of fun for all the family including fairground rides, bouncy castles, quad bikes, bbq, live entertainment and lots more. This huge summer event is held in Loughborough every year and attracts well over 1,000 visitors.
• Heavily advertised by 30,000 leaflets, 1,000 posters, emails to almost 10,000 supporters, several press articles and radio coverage.
• There are also opportunities for signage and stands at the venue and giveaways in the goodie bags.

Bonfire Bonanza

• Each year, Rainbows holds one of the largest bonfire and fireworks displays in Leicestershire. The average footfall is 4,000 people.
• Heavily advertised by 30,000 leaflets, 1,000 posters, emails to almost 10,000 supporters, several press articles, newspaper advertising and radio coverage.
• There are also opportunities for signage and stands at the venue and giveaways in the goodie bags.

We also have many smaller events which can be sponsored. And our sponsorship opportunities start from as little as £2,000.

Website

The Rainbows’ website is the hub of the charity. It receives around 2,000 individual hits a week and traffic is driven to it by our online email and advertising campaigns. You can sponsor the entire website for a year for £3,000.

Hospice

Other sponsorship opportunities exist in and around Rainbows. Examples include:

• Sponsor a member of staff: nurse, family support worker, care team member
• Sponsor a bedroom
• Sponsor an internal project (garden, play area, activity area, family room)
• Sponsor an outing
• Sponsor a room
